*We strongly recommend conducting a thorough inspection of your vehicle prior to your appointment to ensure a seamless experience. Should you wish for our dyno technician to perform pre-dyno inspections upon arrival or any services during the dyno appointment. Please note the services will incur shop labor rates and will be added to the overall cost.*
Additional Services:
- Fuel injector cleaning is $20 per injector + labor rate cost for removal and reinstallation.
- Labor rate of $150per/hr for diagnostic, repairs, and fabrication.
Important information to be noted or provided includes:
- Does the vehicle have a wideband and work properly?
- Fuel injector specifications and information?
- If using a boosted application, what wastegate spring information is currently being used?
- Please ensure that all mechanical issues are resolved and that there are no malfunction indicator lights (MIL) illuminated before the dyno appointment. If any issues arise prior to the appointment, please contact us immediately.
Pre-Dyno Tune Appointment
- Top off all vehicle fluids.
- The vehicle must be a minimum of 3 inches off the ground to clear dyno rollers. If the vehicle has excessive body panels that prevent a proper form of strapping the vehicle to the ground recommend removing them before.
- Check Grounding: Ensure all grounding connections are secure and free of corrosion. Poor grounding can lead to insufficient voltage levels.
- Inspect the Alternator: Verify that the alternator is functioning correctly. Look for any signs of wear or damage, and consider testing it with a multimeter to see if it's delivering the appropriate voltage.
- Examine Wiring and Connections: Check all wiring connected to the alternator and battery for any fraying, loose connections, or damage that could affect performance.
- Battery Condition: Ensure the battery is in good condition—recommended voltages 12v-14v unless operating a 16v battery which will recommend to bring personal form of charging if necessary.
- If the vehicle is operating strictly on E85 and has been sitting with fuel longer than 3 months, highly recommend inspecting the fuel components such as the filter and regulator before the dyno appointment.
- Inspect thoroughly to confirm that there are NO fluid leaks such as; engine oil, brake fluid, coolant systems, and transmission fluid.
- Must have all lug nuts and torqued.
- No bald tires, no wires exposed, or ballooning tires.
- Check the engine free of vacuum leaks or boost leaks. Examples: pinched or cut hoses, intake manifold ports plugged or plumped incorrectly, check valve malfunctions, turbo charge pipes cracked or fittings and clamps broke.
- Ensure the vehicle has enough fuel for a full dyno appointment. If the vehicle is doing a Flex fuel tune, you are required to provide your fuel and containers. If we need to provide those services, it will be an additional cost added to tune total.
- Check spark plugs for the correct spark plugs for the vehicle power application, spark plugs gapped correctly for the power level aiming towards.
- Inspect ignition coil wires, connector routings, and overall condition such as cracks or tears in the wires or boots.
- All engine and powertrain components are torqued and checked prior to the dyno appointment. Examples: Driveshafts, Engine mounts, and any component bracing or brackets.
- All boost controller hose routing is correct and secured.
Post-Dyno Information
* If having any tuning-related issues please EMAIL with vehicle information and date of tune and expect to receive an email within 1-2 business days.*
- After the vehicle completed its dyno appointment and left in optimal condition, it has since exhibited changes in performance. Following a thorough inspection, all mechanical issues have been ruled out as potential causes. Please contact me through email.
- Please conduct a test drive of the vehicle following the dyno appointment and assess its performance. Specifically, observe if the vehicle is operating suboptimally or exhibiting any stumbling under load that isn’t caused by mechanical issues prior to or during the tuning appointment.
